Pros:- very well built lens; solid construction- metal lens hood- smooth, de-clicked aperture ring and focus ring- great packaging and extrasCons:- a bit heavy- not sharp when focused at infinityI really wanted to like this lens. It has a really nice, heavy duty construction, metal lens cap, and smooth focus & aperture rings. The packaging presentation is really great, being delivered in an attractive box with fitted foam padding. In fact, I would say it rivaled most of my higher cost lenses. But the one reason I couldn't keep it was the major deal breaker - it wasn't center sharp at infinity focus. I'm not sure if there was something wrong with this particular lens I received, but it also didn't feel like it fit on the mount quite right. And at f2.8, focused to infinity, it was noticeably soft in the center...almost like another 5 - 10 degree turn past infinity would have done the trick, but it hard stops at infinity.I am terribly disappointed, not just because the lens was soft, but that it was awesome in so many other ways. They say you get what you pay for, and in this case, I actually got way more. Unfortunately, I have to have a sharp image and the center softness was unacceptable. Maybe when I have the time and money available, I'll try another copy, but for now, I can't chance it.The fisheye look is classic, but also somewhat of a niche tool. I often find it too be a bit too extreme for its own good. I think that's why I like this product so much. On an aps-c camera this is a true fisheye. On m43, it retains the fisheye character, but toned down just a bit. In my opinion that makes it a little more versatile. I find myself using this lens much more than I thought I would.A couple of minor points...1. The friction lens cap is not my favorite. I would prefer something like what you'd find on the samyang/rokinon lens2. I personally don't like the click-less aperture. I find its always in a different position every time I go to use the lens3. Rear lens cap had a very loose fit.I use this lens with my Lumix G7 on a Zhiyun Crane - mostly for video. This is perfect for those wide-wide shots that are required for real-estate environments. OK for outside shots, but not able to use a ND filter due to the shape of the lens. Can be a little soft at the edges, but for what I am using (real estate and weddings) my clients do not inspect the shots at that level. Low-risk option given the price. Even at the widest aperture, just set this to infinity and remember to stay about 4-5 feet from your subjects to keep everything in focus.Not the greatest quality, but feels solid and is good for skateboardingLittle soft around the edges when wide open but for the money, it’s a good lens.The metal ring used to attach the lens to the camera broke within 6 months of use. Customer support is basically unreachable, I've tried calling and have had no answer. They also have an international number, so just trying to call them costs money. I also tried to get help through Amazon, and they just gave me the company email. The lens is nice, but too flimsy for constant use [or I happened to get a bad one]. You get what you pay for.the lens itself can only in focus anything less than a foot but and when it turns focus to infinity then anything is out of focus...so disappointed!!!I’ve had this lens for a little while now. I have been super impressed the quality of the lens. As a film maker I have used it for a couple of sunset time lapses. A couple of things I really like about this lens are...1. Quality build. It definitely feels like a sturdy lens. It does not feel like it will just explode if I dropped it. The focusing and aperture are super smooth. The aperture is declicked.2. Overall image quality! I used it on my BMPCC4K and the color reproduction you get with this lens is amazing! It is also very sharp.3. Close focusing distance. It can get SUPER close to objects which, partnered with the wide angle, makes for a really unique image.Overall definitely a quality lens. A great lens for the price that it is. And honestly quality lens for general wide angle fisheye lenses. Would 100% recommend!I was disappointed to find this doesn't really quite fish eye on micro 4/3 sensorsIt is wider than my 9-18 but not very much so.I was hoping as a prime it would be sharper but again doesn't match the Olympus consumer 9 - 18 zoomHowever it is fun and excellent value.Some fringing and softness, but great value for moneyPer un grandangolare così non avevo effettivamente grosse aspettative. Se è difettoso solo il mio, non mi sento comunque di rimandarlo indietro visto quanto è costato e i problemi di consegna. Lo tengo così e me lo porto in vacanza ma mi dispiace...peccato. Aggiungo un paio di scatti a diaframmi differenti ed il fuoco è corretto.I have to admit my expectations were not that high but this lens is the best value I have had in a lens so far. It's a solid and heavy well made lens. The glass looks great and so far my images and video have turned out great! This lens probably competes with others 4X it's price.
